February Seminary of the Streets

Seminary in the Streets will host another excellent learning event: “Innovative Leadership Using Asset-Based Community Development,” February 9, 6 -8 pm (free meal at 5 pm), location TBA.  Jody Kretzmann, Asset Based Community Development Institute, will  lead a discussion about how communities, congregations and organizations marginalize certain groups of people, often with the best of intentions.  What can we do to keep the unintended  consequences of our good will from overwhelming its recipients?  Part of the answer lies in the recognition that gifts, talents, skills and dreams are universal, and that the key to inclusion lies in this recognition.  Online registration information to come.
